No longer homeless ... Mike gives back.

Rarely do you hear the end of the story …

Regardless of where you get your news, when it comes to homelessness, a majority of the stories are about the problem.  And rightly so.  Homelessness is a significant issue in many communities in our county, our state and even our nation … and there seems to be no simple, quick fix.

So, while Task Forces are being formed at the state level with the goal of finding what’s working, and while people continue to wring their hands in hopes of finding lasting solutions to what’s become an epidemic, there are bright spots and rays of hope.

You just have to look.

Recently, Dean Dodd, Founder of Shower Shuttle, found just that … a bright spot and a ray of hope in a man named Mike.

Mike’s story is powerful.  It illustrates that not all people who are homeless remain homeless.  There is a way out, and there is an end (and a good one) to at least this story.

The work we do with the Shower Shuttle and Laundry Shuttle is more than offering showers and clean clothes.  We help restore hope and dignity to hurting people.

What can you do?

Please pray for us to continue to love and serve those who are stuck in the cycle of homelessness and poverty. And pray, too, for Mike … pray that he will continue to be a bright spot and a ray of hope to others.

Support our work.

As a local non-profit (501C3), we depend on support from people just like you. Give a gift today and help us in our mission to continue restoring hope and dignity to those in need with both mobile shower and laundry services … and know we will continue as long as there is a calling for us to do so.

“I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.”
